Welcome to our 100th issue of Wandle News!
Over the years we have shared your stories, kept you informed, tackled the tough questions, highlighted key milestones, provided insights and started conversations for us to continually improve our service for you.
We have covered many highlights and challenges over the years, and whether you have been with us from the beginning, or are a new Wandle resident, I’d like to thank you for being a part of Wandle News.
If you would like to share your ideas on what you’d like to see in the next issue, please contact us at communications@wandle.com.
In this bumper summer edition, we share how to stay safe online on page 3 after an increase in cyber-attacks across different organisations in the UK.
We recently attended Croydon Pride on Saturday 19 July at Wandle Park. We were privileged to attend the event and met many Croydon residents at our stand. We were also proud to announce we have signed up to the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge and you can read more about this on page 8. We support Pride’s mission to foster an environment where every individual, regardless of their identity, can live authentically and safely.
On page 2 we explore our Tenant Satisfaction Measure for repairs. We are keen to hear your views to help us shape our service and invite you to take part in our homeownership and repairs panels. You can also read our complaints report via the link on page 2.
Our annual gardening competition, Greenfingers has returned. You can find out more about the different categories and how to enter on page 7.
This summer has already been a hot one, and on page 5 we share how to keep cool and stay safe in the warmer weather. We have also seen an increase in the improper use of communal plug sockets, and we discuss why they should not be used (unless instructed by Wandle) also on page 5.
On page 9 you can read our customer annual report using the link provided. The report provides you with information about our performance over the past year, using valuable feedback we gain from you and the surveys you participate in. We know we still have much more to do to improve our communication and consistency of services, and we are prioritising delivering these improvements over the next year.
Thank you for being a part of Wandle News and I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer.
