Thank you to everyone who entered this year’s Greenfingers competition. We loved seeing your botanical creations and this year’s entries celebrated creativity, community spirit and therapeutic design.

Here are this year’s winners!

Best Back Garden

WINNER: Fiona Kenna

This year’s Best Back Garden category was won by our resident Fiona Kenna, whose tranquil outdoor space impressed the judges with its creative layout and relaxing seating area that can be enjoyed all year around. Head of Customer Experience Lillian Lanek and Customer Empowerment Lead, Jeremy Kimberley enjoyed the garden’s vibrant planting and praised Fiona for her thoughtful use of space.

Best Community Garden

This year we received many entries for our Best Community Garden category, and were impressed by the community spirit amongst our residents within their local areas.

The judging panel couldn’t choose between two of our finalists, so awarded Soul Food Garden and Gladstone Court as joint winners. Our Executive Director of Customer and Operational Services Francis Burrows and our Customer Empowerment Lead Jeremy Kimberley visited our two deserving winners.

WINNER: Gladstone Court

Gladstone Court’s community garden is a vibrant hub that encourages residents to come together and create a shared area for everyone to plant flowers, while promoting unused spaces into flourishing spaces.

WINNER: Soul Food Garden Garden

This community garden was once an outdoor space that was transformed into an area where the local community could grow their own vegetables and improve their wellbeing. Based in Croydon, Soul Food Garden continues to encourage the local community to come together and grow food all year round.

Best Balcony

WINNERS: Sophie & Robyn Huggins

This year’s Best Balcony was awarded to Sophie and Robyn Huggins, for their tranquil and nature-filled escape, proving even the smallest spaces within an urban area can flourish with care and attention.
