LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge

We are proud to announce we have signed up to the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge. They were formed in 2019 to address the lack of safety, sense of belonging or discrimination residents were facing within the LGBTQ+ community.

The LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge is committed to providing clear ideas and actions for social housing providers so they can create a better organisation inside and out.

By making the Pledge Promise, we are dedicated to working towards LGBTQ+ colleague and resident equality and support. Throughout the next year, we will work to achieve the next level within the pledge ‘Pioneer’ by accomplishing the following three commitments.

Make sure our LGBTQ+ residents have the opportunity to have an input at executive/strategic level
Increase LGBTQ+ visibility within Wandle
Provide specific LGBTQ+ training to our staff

We would like to hear from our LGBTQ+ residents and ask them to share their experiences with Wandle.

Croydon Pride

Last month we attended Croydon Pride.

We are a diverse workforce, and we represent the communities we work in. It was fantastic to meet fellow attendees and be a part of a vibrant and welcoming community. We enjoyed the live entertainment and were lucky enough to see noughties superstars, the Cheeky Girls perform their one-hit wonder!
