British Sign Language Interpreters
We have partnered up with Convo, a deaf-owned and globally operated platform who connect organisations with qualified British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters.
Their mission is to make ‘Conversations between deaf and hearing people effortless’. Our partnership with Convo will ensure customers who are deaf or hearing impaired receive seamless communication support, making interactions clear and accessible.
If you’re hearing impaired, you can contact us through the Community Directory on the Convo Now app. We have fully funded this support, so you will not incur any costs or fees. You can download the app from your device’s app store, with a one-time registration.
Alternatively, you can visit www.convo. io/uk/home to complete a one-time registration and access the Community Directory using your web browser. If you would like a callback from us, please provide your direct number, and this can be found on the homepage of Convo Now.
Alternatively, if you are visiting our Blackfriars office or if we are visiting you at your home, you can start the conversation by scanning a QR code provided by us using a smartphone, or tablet with no download or registration required. You can contact Wandle for all housing, tenancy and repair enquiries through Convo.
Update from the Customer Change and Improvement Panel
The Customer Change and Improvement Panel gives residents the opportunity to work directly with Wandle colleagues to improve services and customer satisfaction. Meeting every quarter, panel members come together to discuss what's working well, what's not working as it should and where changes can be made to improve residents' experiences.
The panel provides a safe space for residents to raise concerns, share their personal experiences and discuss issues affecting customers. Recent conversations have focused on topics such as outstanding repairs, communication delays and making sure residents receive timely responses when they get in touch with Wandle. Members scrutinise services, challenge areas where improvements are needed and help ensure residents' voices are heard.
What makes the panel particularly valuable is its focus on collaboration. Rather than assigning blame, residents and colleagues work together to understand problems and find practical solutions. The panel also helps hold everyone accountable, ensuring concerns are followed up and action is taken. Panel member Nadine says, "every time I attend the panel, I come away feeling like something will be done." If you're passionate about improving services and helping shape positive change for other residents, we'd love to hear from you and welcome new members to the panel. If you'd like to join, please email us at: customerempowerment@wandle.com.
